World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that provides food relief. It was founded in 2010 by Spanish American chef and restaurateur José Andrés following the devastating earthquake in Haiti and has subsequently responded to Hurricane Harvey, the 2018 lower Puna eruption, the 2020 Pandemic crises, the 2023 Turkey–Syria earthquakes, ongoing humanitarian crises overseas & so many more emergencies.
Unfortunately, 7 of their volunteers were killed recently.
It's absolutely heartbreaking that those who choose to help, got harmed in the process. We can not bring them back, but we CAN help facilitate their mission!
