I love candles. Scented, unscented, colored or natural, beeswax or coconut. Candles create a mood like no other. You may already be aware of out bevy of hand made candles in the store, but were you aware that the artist who creates them is local? Joseph of Solis Illuminatum is a Chicago native who hand pours custom blended candles, sometimes including herbs from his own garden.
So if you have ever been interested in learning to make candles, now's your chance! On Saturday March 16th you can come hang out with Joseph and I while you create your very own custom candles.
Candles can be a perfect mood setting item to aid your daily routine or habits through aromatherapy, or as a vehicle to remind yourself of your goals and intentions. Use fragrances and botanicals to create your perfect intention candle.
You will leave this class with the understanding of the fundamentals of candle making, what to look for when choosing materials, scents and herbs, basic safety concerns, and two custom candles of your own creation!
