Week 8 August 4th-8th: Yarn Masters Academy (Mosaic Knitting, Cables & Tunisian Crochet)

We're delving into colorwork, twisting into cables, and unlocking the hybrid power of Tunisian Crochet in this week long Summer Camp! Ages 7-17yrs

Rise and Shine Club (M - F 10am-Noon): Campers will unlock the magical world of colorwork with Mosaic Knitting this week! This simple yet stunning technique uses slipped stitches to create bold geometric patterns with just one color per row. Over the week, we’ll practice reading mosaic charts, master the art of slipping stitches, and complete vibrant projects like a striped cowl, textured dishcloth, or eye-catching headband. Near the end of the week, Campers will delve into cable charts, learn the use of a cable needle, and create stunning textured patterns like braids, twists, and honeycombs while crafting a cozy cabled headband or cup cozy. We'll end with the confidence to tackle complex designs and even improvise our own!

Afternoon Adventure Zone (M - F 1pm-3pm): Dive into the fascinating world of **Tunisian crochet**—a blend of knitting and crochet—in this beginner-friendly summer camp! Over the course of the week, you’ll learn the foundations of this unique craft, from basic Tunisian simple stitch (TSS) to creating textured fabrics with forward and return passes. Work on small, satisfying projects like cozy washcloths, striped scarves, or a stylish market bag, all while mastering techniques like increasing, decreasing, and working with specialty hooks. By the end of camp, you’ll understand how Tunisian crochet differs from traditional crochet and be ready to tackle more advanced patterns. Perfect for curious crocheters (or knitters!) looking to expand their skills—no prior Tunisian experience needed! 

✨ Extended Hours at Fiber Arts Adventure Camp! ✨

🌅 Morning Fiber Fun - Extended Care Add-On (M - F 9am-10am):
Start your day with creativity! Our extended morning session is perfect for early risers who want extra time to weave, knit, or dye before the camp day begins. Sip, stitch, and socialize in a cozy, sunlit studio.  

☀️ Crafternoon Delight - Extended Care Add-On (M - F 12pm-1pm): 
Bring your lunch and keep creating! This extended midday session offers casual stitching, spontaneous fiber play, and creative socializing between morning & afternoon sessions. 

🌇 Eventide Unwind - Extended Care Add-On (M - F 3pm-4pm): 
End the day on a creative note! This laid-back session lets campers keep their hands busy while chatting about their projects—the perfect way to reflect, finish up loose ends, and leave inspired.  

Extended hours are only available as add-ons. Come for the crafts, stay for the community!
