Call for Volunteers:🧶🎨💥Yarn Bomb the Oak Park Arts District!

We're stitching up something beautiful for our community—and we need your help!🪡

Dye Hard Yarns is organizing a public yarn installation to bring color, warmth, and whimsy to the Oak Park Arts District this fall, and we’re inviting all fiber fanatics, crafty neighbors, and joyful makers to join us!

🧶💣Yarn bombing is a form of street art that uses colorful knitted and crocheted pieces to transform public spaces into cozy, creative wonders. No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm!

What we’re looking for:

· Knitters, crocheters, and fiber artists of all skill levels🧶🪝🧵
· Volunteers to help 🔨install pieces (ladder helpers needed!)🪜
· Creative minds to help plan placement and design 💡✏️📐
· Community members who want to meet fellow makers and make Oak Park even more beautiful🤝 

What to expect:

· This is a volunteer-based community project—all are welcome!👐 
· We’ll provide some materials and water to share, but we welcome donations of yarn, unused knitted/crocheted pieces, snacks and drinks to share.☕🍪 🥤🧆
· Install day will be a fun, festive gathering✨ —we’ll bring music and good vibes! 🎶😊 

Timeline:

· Make-A-Thon Sessions: Join us at the shop on September 3rd, 10th, 17th 6-9pm and/or September 6th, 13th, 20th 2-5pm to craft pieces together. (Extra dates TBD)
· Installation Dates: September 27th, October 4th, 11th. 9am-12pm (Extra dates TBD)
