Week 4 June 30th-July 3th: Fiber Frenzy Madness (Yarn Dyeing, Spinning, Straw Weaving, Kumihimo & Poms)

We're learning all about color, creation and making artful messes in this 4 day Summer Camp! Ages 7-17yrs

Rise and Shine Club (M - Th 10am-Noon): This week Campers will unleash they're creativity and transform plain skeins and wool roving into dazzling, one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Using professional dyeing techniques and vibrant acid dyes, we'll create our own rainbow of custom-dyed yarns and roving while learning about color theory and safe dye practices. Later this week we’ll learn the ancient craft of turning wool into beautiful, handspun yarn! Campers will discover how to prepare fiber, spin with a drop spindle, and ply their yarn to create unique skeins ready for knitting, crochet, or weaving. 

Afternoon Adventure Zone (M - Th 1pm-3pm): We'll continue our crafting exploration with Straw Weaving! Campers will utilize drinking straws & colorful yarn to create stylish bracelets using traditional straw weaving techniques. Next, we'll explore the art of Japanese braiding with Kumihimo! Campers will learn to create intricate cords using a traditional disk loom, basic braiding patterns & inspired color combinations while crafting beautiful bracelets, keychains & decorative accessories. At week's end, we'll fluff, snip, & craft perfect pom poms using a variety of techniques. Campers will create whimsical pom shapes & plush, stylish accents perfect for hats, garlands, keychains, & home decor.

✨ Extended Hours at Fiber Arts Adventure Camp! ✨

🌅 Morning Fiber Fun - Extended Care Add-On (M - Th 9am-10am):
Start your day with creativity! Our extended morning session is perfect for early risers who want extra time to weave, knit, or dye before the camp day begins. Sip, stitch, and socialize in a cozy, sunlit studio.  

☀️ Crafternoon Delight - Extended Care Add-On (M - Th 12pm-1pm): 
Bring your lunch and keep creating! This extended midday session offers casual stitching, spontaneous fiber play, and creative socializing between morning & afternoon sessions. 

🌇 Eventide Unwind - Extended Care Add-On (M - Th 3pm-4pm): 
End the day on a creative note! This laid-back session lets campers keep their hands busy while chatting about their projects—the perfect way to reflect, finish up loose ends, and leave inspired.  

Extended hours are only available as add-ons. Come for the crafts, stay for the community!
