Since first opening their doors in 1873, the Chicago Public Libraries have served all Chicagoans with free and open places to gather, learn, connect, read and be transformed.

How to Participate

The best part about the Chicago Yarn Crawl is you get to decide how you want to do it! Below is a list of what we offer during the crawl. Plan your tour, and mix and match how you want to participate!

Register - Register here for the Chicago Yarn Crawl and Grand Prize basket.

Passports - The Yarn Crawl Passports will be available to download on the CYC website the first day of the crawl. Print it out to get a stamp for every store you visit! The passport is a great guide for shop information and to make notes about each shop, like which ones you want to visit, what yarn you purchased from each shop, and your favorite thing about your visit!

Swag Pre-order - Our CYC Swag Pre-order sale runs till July 16th. We have fun new items available here>>

Free Buttons - You can collect your free shop button by visiting our store during the CYC dates, or by shopping online.

Free Patterns - We will have a free original pattern available for crawlers. You can download the free pattern by stopping in the shop, or by visiting our website during the crawl.

Events - Universal Yarn and Urth Yarns Trunk Show

Raffle Baskets - We will have 2 raffle baskets! One basket is our local store basket and the other is one of the many grand prize baskets from our sponsors. To be eligible to win a Chicago Yarn Crawl Sponsored basket, you must be registered for the 2023 Chicago Yarn Crawl. When you visit our shop, scan our unique CYC QR code, enter your information, and click submit! The more shops you visit, the more chances you win! All raffle basket winners will be notified via email. The raffle prizes will be announced by the Chicago Yarn Crawl in August.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
We ask that you please respect and follow our shop’s Safety Guidelines. In order to keep all of our guests safe, we require that all visitors wear masks inside our shop. Hand sanitizer will be provided upon entry. (We always have extra masks on hand if you need one, plus they come in super cute colors!) We have Video Shopping, Curbside Shopping, and Online Shopping if you find yourself with a fever, cold, flu-like symptoms or are otherwise not feeling well.
