Meet the Artists:
"Painting Blossoms Shawl" pattern-
Tina is an American-born Chinese from Queens, NY, currently living in Metro Detroit, MI.
She designs and manages a team that works on industrial knitting machines by day and creates hand knitting pattern designs by night.
Tina started her career in the fashion industry as a knitwear specialist, working with designers to execute their knit fabric or garment ideas. Now, she works in the sporting goods industry, developing technical textiles for non-apparel applications.
She has been published in PomPom Quarterly Magazine Issue 25, Nomadic Knits magazine, and LITLG magazine. Tina has worked with KnitCrate on several subscription boxes and was part of Woolfolk’s Autumn/Winter 2019 collection.
Outside of knitting, Tina is passionate about sharing her experiences as an Asian American and advocate for diverse representation of Asian identity.

Fatima is the dyer behind Aquarius Make from Hyderabad, India and is based in Michigan, US. She gets her inspiration from nature and things around her, and enjoys dyeing on Superwash yarn bases . Her colors would depend on the mood, and could go from neons to neutrals. It really brings her joy to see when people create beautiful handmade items from her yarn,. Irine is a small-batch notions maker in San Diego, California. She finds inspiration in the things she loves: family, food, friends, food, nature, crafting, colors, food, books, movies and shows, food, games, music, and food!!!
More recently, Irine has been learning more about her roots in the modern-day as well as the pre-colonial Philippine Islands, and finding ways to connect culture and crafting. Her favorite part of the journey so far has been sharing it with her crafting buddy, Mojo, the inspiration behind the name for Ubebe Beads!

Lauren has taken her culinary background and fused it into creating this all-natural line, with the hope of showing others that it is okay to change career paths and pursue what feeds your creativity.
