The Amal cowl was inspired by Middle Eastern jewelry and embroidery that usually adorn the chest area of traditional dress wear.

Amal means hope in Arabic which is something we all need to hold close to our hearts now more than ever!

Materials:

  • US 6 (4mm) Circular needles
  • Aprox. 100 (115) yards 25g (27 g) Kitty Pride Fiber British Short Hair or other Fingering weight
  • Stitch marker to mark beginning of round
  • 3 optional markers to mark the stitch repeats

Size and Measurements: Small and (Large):
measures 20 (24) inches circumference and 7 inches
long.

The cowl is knit using 1 skeing of Kitty Pride Fibers on the British Short Hair fingering base that has BFL in it which helps with maintaining the firmness of the fabric created but soft and light enough to be a transitional accessory that can be a source of warmth on a chilly spring morning.

The pattern comes in 2 sizes and you can create both with a single skein!
