Fuzz Off Comb: Part of the Sweater Care Collection
Keep your garments looking fresh with the Fuzz Off Comb. It efficiently picks up troublesome pills and fiber fuzz build-up. Simply shave the fuzz off of your handmade or store-bought knits, wool garments, workout clothes, and more! The compact size makes it easy to take on-the-go (when folded, it fits in our Accessory Roll). Because Cocoknits is committed to avoiding plastic wherever possible, the handle is manufactured from PLA, a 100% biodegradable plant fiber.

Maker's Board: A fabulous tool for reading knitting charts and so much more! The Maker’s Board can hold little tools, recipes, or a tablet. Made with washable kraft fabric, there are internal metal sheets that make every surface magnetic. You can stick a chart on one surface, your pattern on another, and when you prop one side up for display, the angle is completely adjustable, making it even more versatile. Use the strong magnets included to keep small tools, charts, patterns, recipes, and more at hand while you’re working. It could help organize a variety of different projects - its uses are only limited by your imagination!

  • 2 small, round, uncovered magnets to hold tools
  • 3 strong, uncovered rectangle magnets for propping board and holding other tools
  • Packaged in a linen drawstring bag for storage or to use as a project bag

Ruler & Gauge Set: Designed to be used with the Maker’s Board, the handy Ruler and Gauge are also useful on their own. Magnets are embedded (without glue) in the back of each tool so they attach to the Maker’s Board, or any metal surface. In addition to measuring and checking knitting needle sizes, these tools can be used as straight edges on the Maker’s Board to help track patterns and charts. Plastic free, they are made of PLA (plant fiber, 100% biodegradable plant fiber, not water soluble) in a charming speckled linen color.

  • Ruler is 8” x 1” / 20 cm x 2.5 cm – with 3 embedded magnets
  • Needle Gauge is 9.875” x 1.375” / 25 cm x 3.5 cm – with 4 embedded magnets
  • Measures needle sizes US0-17 / 2 mm – 12 mm (including 2.5mm, 3mm, 7mm and 12mm that didn’t fit on our compact NEEDLE GAUGE)

Check Your Gauge Cloth: Block your knits to your desired measurements with this thin cotton cloth, woven to 1" / 2.5cm square gingham. The thread is pre-treated before the fabric is woven to prevent stretching, shrinking, or distortion. Lay it under your knitted item to get straight edges and measurements.

  • Material: 100% cotton
  • One Cloth-Dimensions: 48" x 48"
  • Tested for colorfastness
  • Use this cloth under or over your hand-knits while blocking to ensure correct measurements. Gingham checks have been woven to 1" squares for use as a two-dimensional ruler.
  • Lay the cloth under or over your hand-knits while blocking. Count the squares horizontally and vertically to ensure correct measurements of your project. Protect knits while steaming by placing the cloth between hand-knits and steamer or iron.
  • Care: Hand wash in cold water. Hang dry.

Knitter's Block Set: First-time blockers are always amazed by the difference blocking makes to the final appearance of their knitting. After blocking, sweater parts lay flat, stitches even out, and what looked like a wild mess now behaves nicely. It’s like magic!

  • Very low, lightly barbed pile (fabric covering gently grips your knitting without pilling or leaving fibers)
  • Can be assembled in a variety of sizes from a square for sweater pieces, or a long rectangle for scarves to a triangle for shawls
  • Thick backing of waterproof EVA
  • Suitable for use on any surface since moisture won’t seep through
  • Holds pins firmly in place
  • Blocked items dry faster than with towels because the tiles don't absorb water
  • Formamide and formaldehyde free
  • Heat resistant
  • Essential for steam blocking
  • Compact blocks are stored in a sturdy 14”x14” bag
  • Includes 18 interlocking, fiber-topped EVA foam tiles, each measures 12" × 12", 40 stainless steel T-PINS, 48" SQUARE COTTON CLOTH WOVEN with 1" square gingham to help measure your finished piece, and a sturdy jute bag to contain the kit

T-pins: An essential part of blocking your projects. If you aren’t sure if your T-pins are stainless, soak them overnight in a shallow dish of water. If they rust, do not use them! Cocoknits T-pins are stainless steel – which means they won’t rust when they get wet during blocking – very important after you’ve spent many hours and dollars on a project!

  • 40 Stainless Steel T-pins
  • Tin

Bamboo Cable Needles: These bamboo cable needles are “stickier” than metal so the needle doesn’t slip out of your stitches as easily. The metal band around the center of the cable needles is slightly raised to help keep the needle from slipping out of your stitches while cabling or picking up stitches. The points are purposely blunt so that you can use a fingernail file or pencil sharpener to customize your preferred sharpness on the tips. We included 5 needles from US 2 through US 10.75 to give you a full range of sizes. We hope you love them!

  • Material: bamboo and nickel plated steel so they stick to magnets
  • Set includes one each of five sizes:
  • US 2/2.75mm
  • US 4/3.5 mm
  • US 6/4 mm
  • US 9/5.5 mm

Colorful Magnet Set: Designed to be used with our MAKER’S BOARD, this Colorful Magnet set is made from plastic-free PLA (plant fiber) and very strong magnets, strong enough that both the front and back will work. It includes 6 discs with embedded magnets that can hold patterns, charts, or recipes on the Maker’s Board, or use them for artwork and notes on the fridge or a metal message board! The PLA is formed around the magnets, no toxic glue was used to secure them and they won’t come out!

  • The discs are made from 100% fiber waste called polylactic acid, which is made from fermented plant starch such as corn, beets or sugar cane. It is 100% biodegradable, not water soluble, and contains no plastic

Cocoknits Sweater Worksheet Journal: The Sweater Worksheet is an integral part of the COCOKNITS METHOD. In order to track the creation and progress of a seamless yoke, the knitter fills in the increases as instructed in the pattern, then knits from the Worksheet. The Worksheet has areas for additional information such as the pattern name, size you knitted, gauge, needles and yarn used. The COCOKNITS SWEATER WORKSHOP book includes one Worksheet in the back which you can photograph, store, and print as a jpeg. The advantage of the Worksheet Journal is that it creates a history of all the sweaters you make, including any customizations or tweaks. This way, you end up with a whole collection of sweater patterns customized just for you – and if you decide to knit another, your worksheet is already filled out and ready to knit!

  • Includes 24 blank Worksheets
  • Use with color-coordinated stitch markers

Cocoknits Sweater Workshop Book: The Cocoknits Method brings together a distinct system for knitting top-down, seamless sweaters with streamlined designs that women will actually wear – and have the time to knit.

  • With eight new designs, this book expands on the simple, seamless, top-down styling we’ve come to expect from Cocoknits.
  • This book explains the Cocoknits Method – a system of tracking knitting progress in your own easy to follow customized worksheet. Unlike most traditional patterns that create flat shapes, the tailored style of construction in these patterns creates truly three dimensional garments that impart a great fit upon completion.
  • All designs are worked from the neckline down, so once the neck and yoke area are established, the knitter can just cruise through generating the sweater and not worry about counting or losing track of their place in the pattern. Another advantage of knitting top-down is the ability to try on your garment as you work, to ensure the fit is right.
  • The book contains a dedicated section of an in-depth guide to choosing the right patterns for your figure type with considerations for colorwork, textured stitches, and hemlines all working in concert to create the right silhouette for you.
