Botanique Shawl Kit (Casapinka)

There Botanique Shawl has 15 sections, plus borders on either end. Each section is inspired by something related to spring, from blooming trees, to spring rain. There are also dot stitches, lace, flowers, butterflies, thistle, lettuce and catnip, and tea. You will have so much fun with this! You can, however, replace some of those sections with garter, stockinette, or the mesh pattern that is used if you wish to make it similar.

Specs: 

Dimensions: 92” long by 16” wide (29” wide on the diagonal). You can easily shorten the charts if you want a shorter shawl and halve the two honeycomb sections. Suggestions will be given for this.

Needle: Use anywhere from a US 4-6 needle - just one where you like the fabric. We had testers use all sizes. 24” or longer circulars

Notions: tapestry needle, stitch markers as needed

Skill level: Intermediate: It is a bit more complex than most of my patterns and requires some special stitches.

Gauge: 22 stitches = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch after Wet Blocking

Techniques: bobbles, eyelet lace, mesh lace, charted stitches, slipped stitches, stripe colorwork
