These hats would make wonderful gifts. We recommend making two for others and keeping one as a gift for yourself! There is no chance of boredom with these patterns. Each pattern features an interesting technique: from slipped stiches to stranded knitting and twisted stitches, you won’t want to put these beauties down!

PATTERN NOTES
Each hat is knit in the round from the bottom up and features a unique stitch pattern. The Checkerplaid Hat uses slipped stitches to create the vertical lines of color. Only one color is used per round. The Zag Fade and Climbing Cables hats use stranded knitting to change colors. Hold one strand of each color through the round during the hat body for these two hats.

During crown shaping for all hats, when there are too few stitches to fit on the circular needle, switch to DPNs or your preferred needle for knitting small circumferences.
