Intro to Weaving Workshop

Open up a new world of possibilities with Weaving! In this workshop we will be creating a mini wall tapestry to decorate your home or personal space.

Let’s hear it for non-frustrating crafts! Satisfying and intuitive, this introduction to weaving will leave you  confident in your new skills and brimming with ideas. You will find it easy to start & finish your own designs with no more abandoned projects, plus your new craft is portable, sturdy & rewarding.

Weaving is a great way to use up your yarn stash, and it's wonderful for fidgeters, kids, or anyone with their hands free and a need to create. 

Use your new skills to weave expressive wall tapestries, decor, swatches, patches, bookmarks, coasters & bracelets. "Sketch" out ideas, experiment with new yarns, test compositions and color combinations & try out textures. 

No previous experience is required.

Materials included:

• Loom with built-in heddle bar
• Tapestry needle
• Hardwood beater comb
• Three chunky wool yarns in blue, purple and grey
• Cotton warp yarn
• Cotton drawstring logo bag
• A dowel for hanging your mini tapestry

If you have yarn in your stash that you'd like to use in your project, feel free to bring it along!

3 hour workshop

**Health Compliance: Our instructors are fully vaccinated. In order to keep other students safe, we require that all students be fully vaccinated and provide verification of vaccination dates. Start date of your class must be at least 2 weeks after vaccination. N95/KN95 Masks are required throughout the class and hand sanitizer will be provided upon entry. (We will have extra KN95 masks on hand) If you have a fever, cold or flu-like symptoms, are not feeling well, or have been exposed to someone with these symptoms, please notify us and do not attend the session.**
