This edition of the Malabrigo KAL features the Friendship Shawl designed by Jill Tamminen from Knit Sisu.
Jill's favorite part of this design is the chance for you to do what she calls “BYOD - Be Your Own Designer”. The Friendship Shawl is designed using 3 colors but is easily tailored to as many colors as you would like (even monochromatic, which also looks beautiful). The sections have short repeats, so they can be made as long or as short as you would like. The options for creativity are endless with this piece!

This beautiful pattern takes just 3 skeins of Dos Tierras and according to the designer, it’s easy to fall into the movement of the stitches in this project as it is very meditative and structured. The garter sections fly by and the lace sections keep you engaged without being too reliant on the written pattern.
To knit this shawl you will need to know how to:

- Purl
- Work flat
- Slip stitches
- Increase stitches
- Decrease stitches
