Stranded Colorwork

I'll Pack A Cowl for Rhinebeck by Deb Jacullo is a wonderful project to learn or practice your colorwork skills!

*Call to schedule* Classes are held in person at our yarn shop. *Virtual lessons are always available for those who wish.*

 Supplies needed: 

• Worsted or DK Weight yarn in 4 colors 

          Approximate yardage by color: 
          Main color = 100 yards 
          Secondary color (CC) = 100 yards 
          Cream or White = 50 yards 
          Brown or Black = 25 yards

• Size US 7 - 16” or 24" circular  
  (Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge, go down one size for brim.)

• US 6/4 mm DPNs or circular needles for small circumference knitting, or size required to obtain gauge

• Stitch marker

• Scissors

• Tapestry needle

Finished Measurements:
Approximately 24" x 9"

Techniques: Chart reading, Knitting in the round, Stranded colorwork, Catching Floats, Decreases

Basic knitting skills required.

*Covid Compliance: Our instructors are fully vaccinated and boosted. In order to keep other customers and students safe, we require that students must be fully vaccinated and boosted and provide verification of vaccination (and booster) dates. Start date of this class must be at least 2 weeks after booster dose. N95/KN95 Masks are required throughout the class and hand sanitizer will be provided upon entry. (We will have extra KN95 masks on hand) If you have a fever, cold or flu-like symptoms, are not feeling well, or have been exposed to someone with Covid, please notify us and do not attend the session.
