Back to the Blog - 2018 Local Yarn Shop Day

Okay, real talk right now - we had a blast last Saturday for Local Yarn shop day!  If you follow us on social media, you may have seen we had one of our favorite live bands (Rabbitfolk) play. We had coffee, cookies and biscuits, free patterns, and kits.  We have a new kit called Love Your Store  with a beautiful shawl pattern by Cally Monster of Monsterknits, and an amazing specialty-dyed Baah Yarn (this pink is absolutely stunning!).  Our very own Chastity (Kitty Pride Fibers) outdid herself with her Fading Point Kits - I couldn't stop staring at the purples of A Kiss Goodnight!

We had a couple of notions made especially for us by Nicole of  Knit Twit
Confession - I had to nom on the cake stitch markers when I saw them!

Knit Twit is the one who's created the amazing yarn bowls we have in the shop - she not only throws these in a variety of shapes and sizes, but she also glazes them in stunning colors.

We ended our day with a pom-pom making party.  We recently got trim guides and robots in the shop to help us!  I guess you know you're a yarnie when a ridiculous puffball of yarn makes you this happy?  I'm pretty much looking forward to making a bunch of pom-pomed hats for next winter now.

We had a lot of long time friends stop by, and made some new ones on Saturday too.  Thank you guys so much for coming by and celebrating with us!
Always,
Tracy
